Change- Should It Be Feared, Or Embraced?
Everything is changing. We live in a fast paced world full of change; places change, people change. Regardless of what people want to believe about themselves or others- everybody changes.
There are many people in the world who fear change, and become nervous and uncomfortable at the thoughts of any change occurring in their own lives. We all grow up and change physically over the years. That physical change may slow down for a period of time, but it’s always moving. This change is deemed to be a natural part of ageing, so it’s not a huge shock when our appearance becomes different to what it once was.
The change that sends shock waves through families, friends or small communities is a change in your personality, your beliefs or your interests. Some situations may force change upon us. Being in a comfort zone, where you go through the motions on a daily, weekly and yearly basis, is not going to spring great changes in you. Taking risks or testing your own mental or physical abilities will guarantee to accelerate the rate at which one changes.
People have different abilities and talents that they are proud of and that they can use in their everyday life. Others have abilities that they have yet to show to the public eye, or that have yet to discover. Think of the exceptionally talented musician, who is a superstar at home in front of their family, yet can’t and won’t perform in front of their class at school. So many people don’t unwrap all the layers of being human. Underneath those layers is where the true you really comes alive. We don’t have to flaunt our skills, however we need to realize them. You need to know that you’re talented.
Open that door. Take a chance. Face the fear. Test yourself.
You’ll be amazed at what can happen.
